Real Sand.  Real Smiles.

Haute Sand Hawaii dba Aloha Sand Company is a new and exciting luxury brand created here in Honolulu.
Using a patent-pending process, we adhere real Hawaiian sand onto t-shirts and other textiles creating a
texturized, 3-dimensional design not seen before in our industry.

Aloha Sand Co. is able to create and replicate a high-quality image on a consistent basis.
Real sand is then hand-applied to this image, creating a unique and one-of-a-kind design.
Using natural and black sands that are custom-mixed further the artisan feel of our products.

Aloha Sand Co. can apply sand prints to aloha shirts, canvas, denim, and most any other textiles. This
flexibility allows us to create a wide range of specialty items that are unique, exclusive pieces offered no where else.
Keiki (children) love that the shirts actually have a "sand feel"!

Aloha Sand Co. featured @ RAWartist venue

Picture
We were approached by RAW to be a featured artist at their Lost In Translations venue, Sat. 9/14 from 5-11 pm. at Aloha Tower, 2nd floor.
What an honor, as I don't always know where I fit in and maybe don't yet regard myself as an "artist". I have real artist friends, and I am no way near as talented (yes, Christine Joy Pratt). I'm not a couture designer and don't sew my creations, and my artwork isn't exactly fine art - more fun art! I guess the bottom line is creativity, and part of this process is finding out that we may not fit nicely into any one category. I still want to take our sand designs and apply them to cushions (imagine vintage rattan lanai chair with sand lauae leaves on it, gorge!), and even do bedding and curtains one day for high-end resorts and homes. The great thing about this "sand process" is, that it is unlimited in design & possibilities!

Yebisu MITSUKOSHI Department Store

If you will be in Japan, we will be premiering our children's line at Ebisu, Mistukoshi Department Store During their Hawaiian Fair, July 17 - August 1, 2013.  Mistukoshi is an upscale department store, and one of Japan's oldest. We will also have mens and womens shirts featuring turtles and the Hawaiian Islands.

In the Media....

Senken Shimbun presents the JFW International Fashion Fair Jan. 2013

Aloha Sand Company was honored to participate in this year's JFW - IFF at Tokyo Big Sight. We participated as one of 7 Hawaii designers in the Hawaii Fashion Incubator (HiFi Coop). HiFi was part of a larger "Hawaii Pavillion" sponsored by the State of Hawaii, Dept. of Business, Economic Development and Tourism and the Small Business Administration, and included other larger Hawaii based companies such as Jams World and Hilo Hattie. This 3 day, industry convention is Japan's largest fashion related fair and drew retailers, manufacturers and media from around the world.

Senken Shimbun, whom sponsored the event, is one of the largest fashion related specialty newspaper boasting global readership. Photo #3 shows Aloha Sand Company's Red and light blue shirt getting an article and photo on the first day of the show.
